Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, modeled brush-stroked brows, shaded eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with well-defined shading of outlined lips, pierced ears, white/blonde original mohair wig with ringlet curls, slender kid body with scalloped-rim collarette, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque forearms, Chevrot hinged upper legs, wooden lower legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 9 (head and shoulderplate) (original Bru paper label on chest). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, Chevrot era, circa 1885. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved all-original condition of the brown-eyed bebe, very sturdy original body, perfect hands, wearing original bronze-green and coral silk festival costume with matching detachable ruffled collar, original matched chemise and pantalets, tassel-trimmed cap, green stockings, and extremely rare shoes, in alternating coral and bronze green silk with upturned toes and tassels, the shoes incised "Bru Jne Paris" in oval and "9".
