11" (27 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, tiny porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, wearing pretty knit dress of aqua and cream with ball tassels, undergarments, socks, and black leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1 (head) 2 (torso) 1 (feet). Comments: 1905, the first model of Bleuette, the premium doll offered by Gautier-Langereau, publishers of La Semaine de Suzette, advertised in that magazine as "a beautiful little Jumeau doll of 27 cm". Value Points: an especially beautiful face on the premiere Bleuette which appeared for one year only, original wig, pate, body, and body finish.
