5 1/2" (14 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with light brown sculpted hair arranged in elaborately looped curls and decorated with a Dresden rose, bluebells and gilt-accented leaves, partially sculpted pierced ears, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, sculpted details of bodice include ruffled Dresden collar, shaded blue Dresden bow, and painted pink and magenta borders with beaded trim. Condition: two Dresden leaves broken. Marks: 407 (impressed). Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: rarity factors include brown hair, fancy coiffure, Dresden floral decoration in hair, fancy Dresden collar, and maker's signature.
