13" (33 cm.) Bisque head with flanged neck, untinted white complexion with painted jester decorations, sculpted grey cap with bisque unruly tufts of hair at the sides, cloth pom-pom at his crown, blue glass eyes, closed mouth with wide smile with painted teeth, wooden torso with bellows which, when squeezed, causes the arms to clap together and the head to tilt forward, wooden arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3 AC. Comments: Sonneberg, for the French market, circa 1890. Value Points: the amusing bellows mechanical toy has rare sculpted cap and hair, and is wearing original costume.
