Polychromed terra cotta head turned to the side, sculpted brown hair peeking from beneath modeled snood with red ribbon border and bow, enamel eyes, mouth modeled as though open with beaded teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and brown clogs, wearing original folklore costume. Very good condition, retouch to complexion, legs and hands. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, rare modeled snood.
