20" (51 cm.) Gofun-finished complexion, very narrow enamel inset eyes, closed mouth, black fiber hair in elaborate arrangement that is drawn away from her face in top wide wings at the sides and captured into a long braid at the back which reaches nearly floor-length, painted detail of stippled hair around the edges, wearing elaborate eight-layered robes, the outer of ivory brocade with interwoven motif pattern and with matching obi, red trousers, red silk slippers, and posed upon an original base. Excellent condition, Japan, Showa era.
