19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head with slender elongated shaping, almond-shaped brown glass sleep eyes, very thick black eyeliner, pronounced heavy eyelids, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, aquiline nose, closed mouth with accent line between the primly set lips, brunette human hair, composition and wooden fully jointed lady body with shapely bosom and waist, antique blue silk costume, undergarments, leather shoes, bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1307 7. (head) Made for G.A. Schwarz Philadelphia (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1902, the model was the female counterpart for their 1308 moustached man that appeared at the same time. Value Points: very rare doll with exceptional quality of bisque and sculpting.
