Bisque socket head with pear-shaped face with very full cheeks and double chin, almond-shaped blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, pointy nose, shaded and accented nostrils, closed mouth with heart-shaped upper lip, impressed dimples on philtrum, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, flat-cut derriere, fine antique dress with broderie Anglaise collar and sleeve edges, lace bonnet with rose silk ribbons, undergarments, socks, shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sch (in shield, also stamped on derriere) 4 1/2. Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1880. Value Points: especially beautiful classic model bebe with choicest bisque and painting, original body and body finish, wig, and lovely costume.
