16" (41 cm.) x 10". A firmly-constructed box with lithographed paper cover in abstract Art Nouveau design is gilt lettered "The" (tea) on the lid, and hinges open to reveal a well-fitted shelved interior with embossed blue paper linens and lace trimmed shelves, and having elegant pewter tea service for six still tied to the original backing with rose silk ribbons, comprising, lidded teapot, lidded sugar, creamer, three candlesticks, two footed cookie dishes, six napkins, and six spoons. Interior excellent and all-original, some spotting on exterior paper. French, circa 1890.
