Description
24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes with "dot" highlights, thick brushstroked brows with feathered details, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with modeled tongue tip and beautifully-shaded lips, pierced ears, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9 F.G. (in scroll). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1890. Value Points: lovely bisque, dramatic large eyes with richly-painted brows enhanced by glazed highlights, original body and body finish.
