23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated face and full cheeks, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, dark painted lashes, mauve-blushed eye shadow, thick brush-stroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair bobbed wig, French composition fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F.R. 11. Comments: Falck-Roussel, Paris, circa 1888. Value Points: dolls by Falck-Roussel are rarely found, especially in this larger size, this example with very expressive features, very fine bisque and painting, original body and body finish, wearing fine antique gentleman's costume.
