Description
22" (56 cm.) Each has bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, thick brush-stroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, open mouth with row of porcelain teeth, shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10 (and artist check marks). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1895, one of the dolls is preserved in her original box labeled "Bebe Francaise Habille Mode Parisienne 10". Value Points: preserved in near mint original condition, the dolls have softest blonde mohair wigs, and wear silk and lace costumes that are identical excepting aqua or rose colors, each with original dress, bonnet, undergarments, socks and leather shoes signed "Paris Depose 10" with bee symbol.
