15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, pale blue glass inset eyes with darker blue outer irises, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig with intertwined rose ribbons, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: doll is excellent, the costume and wig are original albeit frail or dusty. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1875. Value Points: beautiful gentle facial expression accented by soft blushing, sturdy body, original wig and costume.
