12 1/2" (32 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich black complexion, brown glass sleep eyes, black painted lashes, black brush-stroked brows with glazed highlights, open mouth with slightly parted very full lips in delicate coral shade, six tiny porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black fleecy wig, black composition and wooden ball-jointed body, pretty antique costume and bonnet, shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1358 Simon & Halbig S&H Germany 8. Comments: Simon and Halbig from their rare 1300 art character series, circa 1900. Value Points: beautiful flawless complexion with fine matte finish, artistic painting of lips, original body and body finish.
