20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, thick brush-stroked brows with feathering, accented nostrils, open mouth, richly accented shaded lips, two square-cut upper teeth and one lower tooth, dimpled chin, brunette mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 13 H 939 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig for the French market, circa 1890. Value Points: beautiful doll with deep paperweight eyes, fine quality of bisque, beautiful antique rose patterned silk dress, undergarments, socks and shoes.
