26" (66 cm.) h. x 33"w. x 44"d. The single story wooden house features an elaborate arrangement of roof lines, shingled roofs that can removed for access to the interior, interior and exterior sliding door partitions with elaborate lattice construction of doors, raised on stilts with front and side stairs. From a series of miniature mid-1900s houses commissioned by Huguette Clark from the Japanese artist, Saburo Kawakami, through the agency of the historic Asian art importer G.T. The construction as well as native woods are authentic, including sliding doors which are designed to simply fit into the floor and frame grooves in the exact manner of actual buildings.
