Description
14" (36 cm.) Pink-tinted thick paste shoulderhead with very slender face and elongated throat, brown sculpted hair looped in front of the beautifully sculpted ears and forming a tightly braided chignon at the back of the head, painted facial features with fine detail of tapered shape brows and accented lips, kid body with shapely waist, separate thumbs, stitched fingers, lovely antique cotton gown and undergarments including a warm red wool petticoat, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, paint rubs at nose tip and back of chignon. Marks: (3 dots and line in green stamp inside shoulder plate). Comments: circa 1845, a beautiful early lady with refined poised expression. Value Points: rare early model in wonderfully-preserved condition. Provenance: Legoland Museum.
