15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly-painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, faint hairline on right temple. Marks: B 4 F (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Bebe Francais, after winning the rights to the trademark Bebe Francais in his lawsuit against Danel & Cie. Jumeau introduced an entirely new face for this model; it bears a close resemblance to the art character 225 by his firm. Value Points: rare Jumeau model with brilliant eyes, lovely bisque, and expression, original body and body finish, beautiful antique costume of rose silk dress, rose kidskin shoes, undergarments, bonnets.
