Description
19" (48 cm.) Cloth doll with pressed and painted facial features, stitched seams at mouth corner, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, fringed brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, brunette mohair bobbed wig, firmly-stuffed muslin cloth body with stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent except some water spotting on arms, torso and legs. Marks: Kamkins (original red heart label on chest). Comments: Kampes, Atlantic City, circa 1930s. Value Points: fine original painted complexion and features on face, and wearing original cotton dress and rompers, socks, and shoes, with blue woolen coat, hat and scarf.
