23" (58 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, grey eye shadow, painted upper lashes, fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, pronounced accent dots on lower lip, brunette mohair wig with coiled side braids, felt body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, few tiny moth holes in dress. Marks: Lenci, Made in Italy, D. E. Scavini N. 109/48 (original paper label on dress). Comments: Lenci, circa 1926, from their early luxury 109 model. Value Points: the wistful-faced doll is wearing original vibrant felt dress in stitched checkered design, with matching tassels, and shoes, original organdy undergarments.
