Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, pale blue glass inset eyes with dark iris outlines, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accent line on the pale lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee torso with elongated torso to accommodate the slim-bodied fashion gown, gusset-jointed hips and knees, wooden arms with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows and wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1870. Value Points: beautiful doll with rare body, fine original wig, wearing original pale green light-woolen fitted gown with elaborate ruching on the skirt, bustle, train, and rich forest green silk trim, undergarments, stockings, shoes, velvet edging straw bonnet.
