16" (41 cm.) All cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted hair and facial features, short brown hair with forelock curl, defined ears, painted brown eyes, black upper eyeliner, shaded eyeshadow, button-shaped nose, closed mouth with pouting expression, blushed cheeks, double chin, jointing at shoulders and hips, antique costume. Condition: good/very good, some facial scuffs, hands and feet worn, leg patches. Marks: Kathe Kruse 24579 (left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, type I, circa 1920. Value Points: original painted finish on the early model doll with wistful expression.
