19" (48 cm.) Paper mache swivel head on paper mache shoulder head, gofun complexion, half-moon shaped brown glass eyes, black brush-stroked brows, closed mouth, blushed cheeks and brows, black human hair, muslin midriff and upper arms and legs, paper mache lower torso and lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Japan, Ichimatsu child, circa 1930. Value Points: the doll wears fine original costume of padded silk patterned with colorful flowers in a cascading garland, gold brocade obi with cord tie, red silk crepe sash.
