5" (13 cm.) One-piece bisque head and torso, peg-jointed arms and legs, the figure depicting an adult man with sculpted moustache and goatee, sculpted hair with white headband, with defined waist, muscular elongated legs, flat painted red shoes, modeled bent right elbow with cupped hand. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: for the French market, circa 1860. Value Points: superb detail of painted facial and costume details, the circus performer man has fancily painted costume of purple-dotted fuchsia with ruffled lace bodice, white tights. The doll bears a blue ribbon award from 1984 UFDC convention.
