21" (53 cm.) Paper mache swivel head on paper mache shoulderplate, gofun complexion, brown glass enamel eyes in half moon shape, tinted brows, closed mouth, black human hair, padded silk crepe midriff and upper arms and legs, paper mache lower midriff and lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Japanese, Ichimatsu doll, circa 1930s. Value Points: superb original unplayed with condition, the doll wears padded silk crepe costume with vibrantly colored flowers and padded under kimono, red silk crepe sash, brocade obi with cord ties, tabi slippers.
