17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with very plump cheeks, small blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, unpierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset jointing at elbows, hips and knees, fine antique poupee costume (some skirt spotting). Condition: generally excellent, body is somewhat worn. Marks: Maison Simonne Paris (stamp on torso). Comments: French, circa 1865, presented at the prestigious doll store, Maison Simonne. Value Points: very fine delicate bisque accentuated by brilliant cobalt blue eyes, with original label from Maison Simonne.
