10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich brown complexion, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, black brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with coral-shaded lips, pierced ears, black brunette wig, brown composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885, the model was inspired by the French A.T. bebe which it closely resembles and whose market it attempted to capture. Value Points: very beautiful child with fine luminous complexion, wonderfully painted lips, original body and body finish, charming antique costume.
