Description
2 1/2" (6 cm.) One-piece bisque head and torso, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, sculpted uptilted head with painted facial features, black sculpted hair under ruffled harlequin cap, sculpted and painted costume of shaded blue tunic with scalloped edge collar, white leggings, flat black shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: for the French market, circa 1865. Value Points: delightful and very rare miniature doll depicting the popular cultural figure of harlequin.
