15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with painted short blonde boyish hair, painted facial features, shaded blue down-glancing eyes, black and red upper eyeliner, feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, nice sailor costume and holding little toy wooden boat. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2024/4 540 6. Comments: Bruno Schmidt, circa 1912, the facial modeling bears a close resemblance to the firm's doll, model 2033 known as "Wendy". Value Points: well-defined solemn expression enhanced by choice bisque, original toddler body in fine condition.
