13" (33 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with wistful expression, blonde lambswool wig, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, finish scuffed on lower arms. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1885, the doll was made to compete with the popular French bebe of the era. Value Points: very dear shy-faced expression with beautiful eyes.
