16" (41 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with rounded face, blonde sculpted short blonde hair with tousled bangs under a sculpted grey hat with rounded top, black painted brim and band, sculpted bodice with ruffled collar, blue glass inset eyes, sculpted ears, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, very full outlined lips, newer muslin stitch-jointed body and bisque lower limbs, antique velvet costume. Condition: generally excellent, possible small professional restoration on hat brim. Marks: 160-5. Comments: Kling, circa 1875. Value Points: most endearing innocent expression on the very rare model with wonderfully detailed features, unusual hat, glass eyes, maker's mark. Ex-collection Margaret Hartshorn.
