15" (38 cm.) All wooden doll with uniquely-shaped face in heart-like design, pointy chin, black painted hair with well defined yellow comb at the crown, stippling details of curls around the face, brown painted outlined eyes, closed mouth, modeled bosom, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted red shoes, beautiful antique silk and brocade costume. Condition: generally excellent, original finish is well-preserved, toes of left foot broken. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1840. Value Points: especially fine detail of facial carving and fine original finish.
