Description
10" (25 cm.) - 16" head circ. Each has solid domed bisque head with flanged neck, lightly tinted baby hair and brows, brown or blue glass sleep eyes, painted features, closed mouth, muslin body with shaped curved legs, celluloid hands, baby costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: copr. by Grace S. Putnam, made in Germany, Comments: Germany, the newborn baby model of 1923 was designed by Grace Storey Putnam, the American illustrator, and produced in Germany. The doll was a phenomenal success at its time. Value Points: four sizes of "The Million Dollar Baby" are presented here, one in original labeled gown.
