20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks, large grey glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, slightly-parted lips with two square-cut upper teeth and one square-cut lower tooth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, early plump composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, eyes set. Marks: S 12 H 929. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: Very rare model with fabulous sculpting, fine luminous bisque, wonderful original early body with original finish, antique costume including blue cotton dress with pique yoke and ruffled collar, undergarments, stockings, brown leather shoes.
