12" (30 cm.) Bisque flanged head with sculpted curly hair peeking out from the brim a multi-striped cap set saucily sideways, movable blue googly "living eyes", painted upper curly lashes, one-stroke brows, tiny nose, closed mouth in "impish grin, accented lips, muslin body with disc jointing, original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Herm Steiner, Germany, circa 1926, the unique "living eye" with floating iris was made uniquely by this firm with variations of hair style and facial expression. Value Points: mischievous fellow with dimpled grin and distinctive sculpted and painted cap.
