12" (30 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head, brown glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eye shadow, widely arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body, straight wrists, lovely antique costume and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent, slight scuffing on fingers. Marks: 2 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878. Value Points: rare early doll with enchanting expression, finest delicate bisque, original body and body finish.
