Description
4" (10 cm.) and 9". Each is all wooden with one-piece head and torso, elongated throat, solid domed with black painted hair topped by carved yellow tucked comb, painted facial features, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted red shoes, the smaller with original costume, the larger with some pieces of original undergarments. Condition: very good, original finish with light craquelure. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1840. Value Points: wonderful detail of painted ringlet curls around the face.
