11" (28 cm.) Solid domed porcelain head with light-bulb shaped neck, on porcelain shoulderplate, pink-tinted complexion on face, hips, arms and legs, sculpted short brown hair with feathering onto the forehead, painted blue eyes in defined sockets, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, cloth midriff and upper arms and legs, porcelain hips, bare feet, antique costume. Condition: restoration to shoulderplate, re-cover of cloth body parts, head, hips and limbs are excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: outstanding sculpting and painting on the rare taufling baby with expressive features, daintily sculpted and painted hands.
