Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners and shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 8 (and artist's checkmarks) Jumeau Diplome d'Honneur (body label). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1890. Value Points: pristine unplayed with condition, original wig, body, body finish, Jumeau undergarments, pink earrings, socks and shoes signed "Bebe Jumeau Depose 8", and luxury original silk and velvet dress with rhinestone accents, matching velvet bonnet and lace hankie.
