Description
4" (10 cm.) A bisque trinket box in the shape of a woven hamper has a charming vignette arranged on its lid, comprising a seated Kewpie with classic features, with Doodledog seated at his side and turned toward Kewpie, and with a book balanced on his left leg. Condition: generally excellent, one finger tip chipped and one-piece reglue on left arm. Marks: c (black stamp) 6410 dep (incised). Comments: Germany, circa 1915, designed by Rose O'Neill. Value Points: very rare action Kewpie with wonderful scene and rare Doodledog.
