20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full plump cheeks and chin, blue/grey glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, thick dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, impressed dimple at philtrum and chin, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9 x (large impressed mark on head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882, a rare model which is seldom found. Value Points: very beautiful bebe with superb sculpting, finest bisque and painting, original wig, body, body finish, lovely gold patterned silk dress, frou-frou bonnet, undergarments, leather Jumeau shoes.
