27" (69 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows with feathering, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, six porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, fine antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish with small flake on left hand. Marks: 1152 dep. 15. Comments: Alt, Beck, Gottschalk, circa 1885. Value Points: the rarity of the model is rivaled by its wonderful eager expression, fine luminous bisque, deeply impressed dimples in chin and philtrum.
