4" (10 cm.) All-bisque seated Kewpie with classic features, is wearing a flannel Santa Claus costume with mohair "fur" edging, and sits atop a paper mache "log", holding a feather Christmas tree and a little paper book which, inside, has the signature of Rose O'Neill. The lid removes to reveal the candy container interior. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Rose O'Neill (inside book). Comments: Germany, designed by Rose O'Neill, circa 1918. Value Points: rare candy container with Kewpie theme is wonderfully preserved.
