Description
9" (23 cm.) All-bisque doll has one-piece head and torso, sculpted short brown curly hair with comb-marked details and three sculpted blue hair bows, intaglio-painted brown side-glancing eyes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth with two beaded upper teeth, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted white ribbed socks and brown painted shoes with bows. Condition: generally excellent. Marks 10490 2. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: rare size of the most endearing shy-featured child, three sculpted hair bows with enhanced glaze highlights, original costume. Ex-Collection Mary Merritt Museum.
