4 1/2" (11 cm.) One-piece bisque head, torso and legs, jointed arms, painted classic Kewpie features including topknot, side-glancing eyes and blue wings, painted black shoes. Condition: Generally excellent. Comments: Kewpie, designed by Rose O'Neill, circa 1915, made in Germany. Value Points: rare painted shoes, and wearing original yellow crepe paper bellhop costume and cap.
