10" (25 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, light brown sculpted hair in short boyish fashion, narrow blue intaglio-sculpted eyes with well-defined eye crinkles, black upper eyeliner, white eyedots, one-stroked brows, closed mouth in wide smiling expression, defined tongue, outlined lips, deeply-impressed laughter crinkles in cheeks and around eyes, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7911 Heubach (in square) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910. Value Points: wonderfully sculpted features depicting a delightedly laughing child, antique costume of embroidered velvet pants, woolen knit leggings, leather shoes, shirt.
