Description
15" (38 cm.) l. x 11" x 10". Arranged on a wooden base with lithographed paper cover and painted background scene of a Swiss mountain village, is a wooden shed, two bisque dolls with blue glass eyes and original folklore costumes, four feathered chickens and roosters, saddled donkey, along with various shrubs and flowers. When wound with porcelain knob at the front, music plays, the little girl tosses feed to the chickens and roosters at her feet, the boy directs the donkey forward, and the brown cow moves to and fro; meanwhile the rooster crows and the cow moos. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890. Value Points: rare luxury details with five different actions, various sounds and music, original costumes.
