11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, large brown glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows with feathered details, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with well-defined accent line between the lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, flat cut derriere. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SCH (in shield mark on head and derriere ridge) 4 (head). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1882. Value Points: exquisite expression on the petite bebe with choice bisque and painting, original body and body finish, wearing original muslin chemise and owning her original aqua green silk dress and matching woven bonnet.
