26" (66 cm.) Thick paste porcelain shoulder head depicting a plump-faced lady with strong throat, blonde sculpted hair with center part arranged around her face with large looped curls and narrow braids and captured at the back with sculpted thick black snood which has a sculpted ruffled blue crown and bavolet that falls onto her shoulders, blue painted eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, circle-accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain arms, blue cotton dress, undergarments, leather boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 111. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: very rare coiffure with wonderful detail of decorated snood, fine larger size is rare to find.
