12" (30 cm.) One-piece figure of young boy with tousled short brown curls who is seated on a bisque wooden bench, a bowl of soap bubbles between his legs, and a pipe held in his right hand, as though blowing bubbles; with intaglio eyes having heavy lids, "O"-shaped open mouth, fancily sculpted costume with painted and gilt accents, ruffled collar, painted brown ankle boots. Excellent condition, few tiny flakes at back bottom rim. Germany, Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910.
